Visitations and a funeral are being held this week for Kesean Williams, the nine-year-old boy who was shot to death in his Brampton home last week.
The visitations are happening at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home on Rymal Road East in Hamilton between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
The child’s funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the People’s Church in Hamilton.
Kesean was a Grade 4 student at Sir Winston Churchill Public School, just down the street from his home on Ardglen Avenue, near Kennedy Road South and Clarence Street. He was at home with his mother and 15-year-old brother when gunfire erupted outside the house on Jan. 23. A bullet hit Kesean in the head while he watched television in the living room.
Police believe the home was targeted and are trying to determine if the gunfire was intended for the previous tenants. Kesean and his family only moved into the home the week before the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
A trust fund has been set up for Kesean’s family.
