A visitation was held for a high school football star who was gunned down earlier this month in Regent Park.

Visiting hours for Tyson Bailey, 15, were between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the second floor of McDougall & Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Centre at 1812 Eglinton Ave. W., near Dufferin Street.

A funeral will be held for Bailey at 11 a.m. Thursday at Toronto Central Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 156-162 Bentworth Ave., near Caledonia Road.

Bailey, the starting running back for Central Technical School’s junior football team, was shot four times in the hallway on the 13th floor of a highrise on Whiteside Place in Regent Park on Jan. 18.

Police said that Bailey had no criminal record and there is no evidence that he was involved in any high-risk behaviour.

Bailey’s death was Toronto’s second homicide of the year.
